The fifth stage of the diamond model has come, namely Overhauling the organisation with a clear focus on objectives. Let’s have a look on what this means for your business.

Your business is now more competitive and has a strong customer and marketing orientation, but there is a sense of ‘missed opportunities’ and a consequent drive to optimize performance. It is important to keep your employees involved in your growing business. Charity is also very important, as the community will know you care for them.

During the overhauling stage management will focus mainly on improving performance by establishing corporate objectives and doing an analysis of the business. Investors are looking to improve their return on investments (ROI). Employees will have to choose between getting rewarded for their achievements or overcoming their fear of change. The sources of finance are still structured and now include venture capital or private equity. While marketing focus on cost per sale and customer satisfaction, your supply side focusses on rationalizing supply and bargaining.
