COVID-19 Lockdown Notification

27 March 2020

Further to our message of last week announcing the measures we have taken internally against the spread of the COVID-19 virus, His Excellency the President of Namibia Dr Hage Geingob has now implemented more stringent measure to help curtail the spread of the virus. This has been interpreted by us as a temporary lock-down and closure of all business activities from our offices throughout the country (including our offices in Oshakati). Our employees are the life-blood of our business, and our greatest asset, and protecting them is our highest priority.

Over the past few weeks we have been implementing our COVID-19 Business Continuity Plan, and are pleased to announce that most of our client-facing employees can now work remotely from home. It is our intention to continue offering our clients the full range of services, but these may be limited by external influences (ie the closure of the Ministry of Finances offices for example).

Our audit teams are fully mobile and we will where possible continue with our audits remotely, with the full intention of meeting any deadlines we have made that fall within the lock-down period.

All our other non-assurance managers (ie Tax, BSO and Company Secretarial) will also be working from home, and will be attending to their emails and work as best they can given the resources that are available to them.

Although our offices will be closed from 12h00 on the 27th of March 2020 and reopen on the 14th of April 2020, we will be available on email and on our cellphones during this period.

We will review the situation throughout this period and keep you updated of any changes.  Be assured of our best service during this period.

We pray that the Nation prevention strategies are successful during this period, and we wish you, and your staff and family health during these difficult times.
