A large team from BDO volunteered to assist the Cancer Association of Namibia (CAN) with two of their fundraising campaigns.

On Friday the 2nd of September they assisted CAN with the Shake-A-Can project where various businesses were assigned street corners on which the volunteers collected donations from passing motorists.  The BDO Volunteers dressed up in crazy outfits to attract the attention of the motorists driving by. We had a bunny, a monster, a bee, a few crazy haired ladies, ladies in tutus, a cow, and even Obelix.

On Saturday the 3rd of September the volunteers hosted the breast/cervical cancer water point at the CAN walk for life in Windhoek. The stall was decorated with bras and posters relating to breast cancer and cervical cancer awareness, with jogging music playing in the background.

We are grateful to CAN and their project partners The Sage Foundation for the effort they put in to making these events so successful.
