Executive Summary
Johan became a partner of BDO Namibia on 1 July 2011. Johan joined BDO in 2005 after he completed three years of training in Johannesburg. Johan qualified as a chartered accountant and became an audit manager in 2007, and have since been involved in large and small clients of the firm, including a group of companies listed on the NSX and JSE.
He has vast experience in insurance, micro finance, education, natural resources, transport, manufacturing, electricity distribution and retail and is the engagement partner on several public and private companies in Namibia such as Trustco Group Holdings Ltd, Elisenheim Property Development Company (Pty) Ltd, Western National Insurance, Sakawe Mining Corporation (Pty) Ltd and its subsidiaries and WP Transport (Pty) Ltd to name a few.
Johan has been actively involved with IFRS consultations to large and medium sized clients, and assisting clients with first time adoption of IFRS in Namibia.
Johan is the technical partner of BDO Namibia and is a member of BDO Southern Africa’s Technical Committee.
Johan’s strength is his hands-on-approach as far as the solving of her client’s business needs/problems are concerned.
