Executive Summary
Magda qualified as a chartered accountant in 1990 and became the first female partner in the firm and in Namibia, on 1 November 1996. Magda has been successful in the performance of work done on behalf of the Auditor General and some of the projects included regular training seminars for the staff at the Office of the Auditor General and the GIPF forensic audit. In February 2017 Magda was appointed International Liaison Partner of BDO (Namibia)
She has vast experience in insurance, banking, transport industries, municipalities and has been the engagement partner on several public and private companies in Namibia such as Etosha Transport (Pty) Ltd, FP du Toit Transport (Pty) Ltd, WP Transport (Pty) Ltd, NASRIA, Kalahari Holdings (Pty) Ltd and all its subsidiaries, SWAPO Party, Western National Insurance Company Limited, SME Bank Limited partnerships and individuals. She has done various consulting and accounting assignments for major clients.
She served on several of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Namibia’s (ICAN) sub committees, such as the Practising Members Forum and is currently serving on the Tax committee. She was also appointed by the Minister of Wildlife and Tourism as vice chairperson of Namibia Wildlife Resorts Limited. She has served on their executive and audit committees, and was for years the BDO National Technical partner.
Magda’s strength is her hands on approach as far as the solving of her client’s business needs/problems are concerned.
